I just bought some reproduction oriental furniture and am wondering how do I rid them off the smell of lacquer besides 'airing them out'.

I am wondering if it is the lacquer that you are smelling, because normally, when a piece of furniture is lacquered, there really shouldn't be some kind of scent to the lacquer after it has dried.
