Is there any way out of a rental lease in Florida, within the first 1-5 days if you ha
Please, bare w/ me this is the very first time using this site. A good friend,my previous nieghbor, just moved out this month, Well she signed a 1 yr. lease w/ a new landlord. She stayed her first day in her new place, and the air conditioner is not cooling the place at all, they told her they'll look at it, but this is Florida,as if implying knowbody in Florida has a/c during the summer months. To make it short, does she have any recourse, any way toget out of the lease,as she just singed it ? She is a single mom and a awesome person, just thought I would ask. Thanks

Air conditioning is not a habitability issue in Florida... although I think it should be. Florida is brutal in summer months. So no, she can not get out of her lease on A/C issues alone.

Tell her to send a certified letter to the landlord outlining the A/C issue. That might get his attention.

This is not grounds to break a lease. She did not even give the landlord a chance to fix it ( one day is not a chance)
