Procedures on fraud investigation for SSI-TEXAS
My boyfriend claims his SSI income is being monitored for fraud, thus they put a stop payment on his funds until their investigation is done and final.

My question is, while the agency is determining if fraud is present, do they automatically put stop payment or freeze the funds, or do they treat it like an evaluation, where they continue paying the funds until it is proven as fraud?

    Thanks

Am not familiar with the way Texas does their fraud on SSI. You might want to give the local office a call and ask them.

    Hello AP:

I don't know their procedures... But, if they think somebody is cheating them out of their money, they're not going to keep sending it until they're sure... Isn't that what you'd do?? I think it is.
