My friend broke up us

My guy friend finally convinced me that I liked the wrong person who didn't like me the same way. He said he had talked to the person I liked, and he got an answer from the conversation, that is, he actually didn't like me.
I deleted my Facebook. I don't want to bother him any longer, if he doesn't like me. I think later he won't receive any messages from me and he would be happy.
And on the same day my friend held my hand in the car, and asked me why I didn't like him. He asked me whether I had special feeling when he held my hand. I said no and told him I just looked at him as a friend. But he then held my hand with his both hands, and said that I should like him.
After some days of thinking, I couldn't help wondering whether my friend really likes me. I called him today. But his voice sounded just like a friend before. He didn't even mean to go out with me.
So now I guess they both don't like me.
Am I right?

It sounds to me that your friend DOES like you, and MAYBE that other boy likes you too. How do you know this friend doesn't like you so much that he lied and said the other boy didn't like you? If you really like this other boy, then ask him YOURSELF if he likes you. But the most important question is: What will you make YOU happy?

Does a girl need ask a guy whether he likes her or not? If you like somebody, or liked somebody, you must answer me, "No!"
I won't do such things like asking a guy whether he likes me. If he does, he will be like my guy friend, just tells me straightforward.
I think it is love; people always like those who don't like them that much, and are liked by those who they don't like.

Just because you are a girl, doesn't mean that you can't ask what you don't know. Not all men are straightforward with their feelings. Sometimes you need to ask.

Which part do you disagree with? You think that girls can't ask questions or you think that all men are straightforward?

I believe all the men are straightforward, if he is not a child but a mature adult, if he is truly in love with a woman, if he knows what kind of life he wants to have with a woman forever, and if he understands sincerity is the most important element in this world.

I think you have a lot to learn about men. Not all men are straightforward, trust me, I know this from experience.

And if you think all men are straightforward and tell the woman their feelings, why would you need to have your friend ask this boy of his feelings, wouldn't he just tell you himself?

I agree some men and women are shy or don't know how to express themselve. The OP have a lot to learn about men.

To Strawberry, if you want to know how either guy feel or what to be with one of them why can you make the first move? What the harm in asking, nowaday if you want something/someone you have to go get it. There nothing wrong with it, guys used to take the female out, but now females are taking the guy out. There nothing wrong with asking questions or being direct and if you think otherwise you might lose at, a lot!

I think that's the dumbest thing I have ever heard. There is nothing wrong with asking a guy out. If you like him, let him know. And what do you mean by "change is not the way love should be"?

It's sad that you think this way, maybe somewhere down the line your way of thinking will change. How old are you, if you don't mind me asking.

I am a graduate student. I think I am old enough :)
Why do I like a person who doesn't like me? Which woman wants such a tiring love trip? Which woman would feel happier if she chases after a man and get him than if she is chased after by a man?
Did Hillary chase after Clinton when she was in the university? No! A man who could make a wonderful success as former President chased after the woman he wants.

And how do you know that if he hadn't she wouldn't have? She mostly likely would have. I'm going to assume that you are not from America, and perhaps this is how you were brought up. We can't tell you that you are wrong. But we can tell you that if you want love you need to chase it if it doesn't chase you. I'm sorry for the wake up call but there ARE shy men, and perhaps this particular man is shy. That does not mean that he is not interested in you.
