Should mention we broke up few months ago due to kids and home but not because of each other.. we were together nearly 4yrs.

He replied saying was just busy with work.

I think he's busy and it's not a good sign nor a bad sign. It's a sign he's busy.

His family commitment supercede anything else he might want to do, even you, so I would be continuing with my own life instead of hoping he gets "not busy" again anytime soon.
