I have bought a new heating element for the dryer and its still not heating.. im sure that I hooked the pos. and negative. Wires back.. or would it matter for it to dry.. thanks

You might try taking a look at this entry.
The thermal fuse is an inexpensive part that can cause this symptom.

Do you have a multimeter and know how to use it? Lets start by testing componets rather that just spending money and replacing them. This way you'll find the problem, save money and get the unit working again
Did you check your 220 breaker or fuse?
Many times, when the old element goes bad, it will trip the breaker.
Maybe a stupid question, but have run into this a few times.
I didn't make it clear, but I would TEST the thermal fuse before replacing it. That will require some knowledge or a friendly parts man with a multimeter.Quote:
