    Smelly refridge
There is a bad smell coming from my fridge, I have pulled it out and cleaned behind it. Cleaned inside and still the odor. The fridge is only 2 years old. The odor is inside and all around it. When I walk in the kitchen I smell it. I don't have any idea what might be causing this smell. Can someone help.

    Thank you

I had a similar issue and cleaned the drip pan and condenser coils of dust and it seemed to work. See this site:

While I can't say what the cause might be, I would recommend a couple of boxes of Arm and Hammer Baking soda inside the unit. Just rip the top completely off and set them inside.

If the smell is originating on the inside of the unit, this should take care of most of the odor.

If after trying this, the odor does not diminish, I would suspect the cause is not inside, but somewhere outside the unit.

What about under the stove, or cabnet's that may be close to the frige? Could you have a dead mouse or something close to, but not in or on the frige? Odors do dissipate in a large area sometimes so it may not really be in the frige.

Good luck with it, I hate bad odors!

Does anything in the freezer ever appear to be partially thawed? We had an odor problem in an older refer we kept in the garage and we found that meat was partially thawing and refreezing as the freezer malfunctioned occasionally. After so many cycles the meat started to spoil. Prob not your problem but could be a possibility.
