I am trying to pump 400 feet of hose 4 feet high. I t pumps some , but instead of propelling it through the hoses it is pumping backwards. Any suggestions as to why it is doing this.. we are trying to pump the water through to heat our pool. I read on the pool site to use a sump pump. Need an explanation as to why it is doing that??
