OK I was going out w/ this AWSOME guy. And before we were going out he was going out w/ someone. Well he broke up w/ her for me. Well then yesterday he sent me this text saying "breakin up w/ amy[his gf] was 1 of the biggest mistakes of his life, I can't do this anymore." and I liked him so much. And now he's the only thing on my mind. I have cried for 2 whole days. I cry myself to sleep every night, and no matter how hard I try, I can't seem to get over him. He was so sweet and I really loved him. Now I'm in a bad mood all the time and I'm constantly crying and I'm trying so hard not to and to be happy but I just can't. Now I find out he's going back out w/ his ex. And he doesn't even care that he's destroyed me. Please tell me what I need to do.:(

Ok, so first.. Don't assume he doesn't care that he "destroyed you". I am thinking that it may be a little more complex then that.

From your own words he is a "nice guy" and probably is as torn up as you are. Guys just show it in a totally different way. Bottle it up and act like nothing is wrong is the common guy tact to deal with pain.

If he really does not care then he was the guy you think he was.

If he feels like he made a mistake by leaving his ex then it wasn't ever going to work. Even if he stayed with you it was doomed. You are better off now because you wouldn't have vested a large amount of time only to find out that he was always in love with this other person.

How long were you together? How old are you guys? Is this someone you have to see daily?


It hurts now, and I know the feeling. Confusion, hurt, anger, all the pain, but all in all this was better to have happened sooner then later in my opinion.
