My 13 year old Phillips Magnavox has no picture, only sound. I'm trying to decide if I should repair or replace it.

Are you really attached to it? Can you afford a new one? If you can, I say go for it. Otherwise you may be spending money to fix something that could break again soon.
While 13 years is pretty good, I've seen some TV's last for over 20.
Given the age, and the new technology now available, I feel your best option is to go ahead
And make a new purchase.
As has already been stated, there could be many other things that are almost worn out, and after a fairly large expense, this older set could quit working again.
Reward yourself with a new LCD Flat Screen if you have the ability to do so.
It's always nice to get a new gift, even if its from yourself!! :P
Thanks folks, I'm going to look at flat screen LCD's today!
