    Hotel inspector
I have always wanted to be a hotel inspector, and I do not know how to get into this type of job and what qualifications are needed, BUT I would so love to do it, and have no ties

It really depends on what you mean.
Are you thinking of Hotel inspection to ensure legal complaince, or more of a reviewer/rater ?

More of a reviewer.. someone who travels around incognito rating room cleanliness, staff, welcome, meals, the whole package really. I am on my own and can now travel the uk. I used to do market research, so I am aware of the repetitive nature and correctness to detail that would be involved

In that case you need to get in with some of those "mystery" shopper companies.
There are a whole load in the UK.

Not trying to burst your bubble or anything, but, given the use of the internet now, and the number of regular guests that will post reviews for any given hotel or motel brand, I don't think there is much need for the type of position you mention.

Perhaps even as little as 8 or 10 years ago, this type of position may have been in good demand, now days, I just don't see anyone paying someone to do this, when so many regular guests will do the same thing for free.

    Good Luck to you!
