    Child abbandenment law
My sons father walked away from him 16 months ago.. I want to legally change my sons last name back to mine and deem my ex an unfit parent.. He didn't esstablish paternity so I need to know the law and what papers to file.. Im afraid that he will walk in again like he did 4 years ago and then walk away again.. He doesn't pay child support. He filed papers last year before walking away and never continued with the process.. What do I do? /:confused:

Why is he unfit, is he a danger to the child, in prison, drug user ?
Just walking away does not make him unfit.

Also when did you get a custody order ? So you have to go to court and get a custody order for the child. After that you get a child support order and force him to pay child support..

He filed papers in January of last year and then after we went to court he wouldn't sign papers stating his correct address. He then lived out of state, and wanted to say he lived at his moms here in Michigan. . He has a violent tempurw and is currently wanted by the police station for child endangerment.. he fed his girlfriends child dog food and someone turned him in to cps and the police station.
