I have been thinking about adopting a lot lately, we have one beautiful son and we just had a miscarriage, we have been trying for #2 for over a year, and we really want a big family, so even if I do have more of my own children, I really think it would be wonderful to adopt.

Well my question is... How old does a couple have to be to adopt? My husband is 22 and I am 20, we live in Indiana, and I just know if there is a law about age, and I have looked but not found an answer.

Generally, there is no law about age, aside from the fact that you must both be adults.

You are better off contacting a local adoption agency or a lawyer specializing in adoption in your area for a better idea as to the requirements.
