I saw this old movie about a year ago, it was black and white and about this women who was married to an over protective preacher who made her pray then killed her one day after her first husband (I think) stole a lot of money. The children ended up running away from the preacher who ended up being a massive psycho. The son's name was john and there was a daughter as well. The daughter had the money in her doll, and when they were running away from the crazy preacher man they ended up staying with this old lady who housed orphans, then the crazy guy comes to the house and the old lady kills him (I think) at the end. It was an AWESOME movie and I'm DESPERATE to know what it was called!! PLEASE HELP!

Sounds a lot like Night of the Hunter.

This is not an answer, but I would love to know what this is also! Sounds like a great movie and now I'm interest... I'm off to imdb to find it, haha! I shall return!
