I just want to ask if a land lord wants to evict a tenant, how much notice should the tenant be given in NSW Australia?


My friend currently stays in campus and today, he was told to leave by tomorrow. I feel that it is very unfair to my friend. They should at least give some time to him to find a place to stay.

In googling, I find that the eviction notice must be for 10 days.

Check with your local housing court. But some more details might be helpful.

When you say he stays in campus is that in a school dorm? Is he registered in the school and take classes? Who told him he has to leave? Does he have a lease? Does he pay rent? Why is he being told to vacate?
