Check out this site to see if you would have enough points. Your two year diploma may be an issue... depends on whether they will accept that as the educational requirement. You might find going in on a student visa and attending university will be a better option.

You must need to finished two year university or post graduate degree in order to apply for permanenet residency. But I am not sure that they will ask for work experience or not.

    Hi Gaurang,

You may still get away with your current qualification. Try points calculators and familirize yourself with different migration schemes on these websites:

Work Permit, Work Visa and Immigration Services from SkillClear - Immigration, Working Visa and Work Permit information, services, facts and news for UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, USA and more
US Visas, Australia Immigration, Canada, Visa UK, Work Permit UK, Immigration Services from Global Visas

The government is now limiting the skilled occupations that can be used to migrate to Australia. There was a good article about chef's coming to Australia on Simple Australian Migration And also check on Department of Immigration & Citizenship which is the official Australian government site for immigration.
    Hope this helps.
