    Fuel filter replacement
How do you replace the fuel filter on a 93 ford f150 ? Went to autozone and purchased the fuel line remover tool , but was unable to get it to work!

If it is the aluminum scissor type or the plastic type, wrap around fuel line, push in to contact spring, and push fuel line with tool torwards filter. The tool has to apply pressure to spring to release. Good Luck.

. Depressurize the system--remove the wire going to the inertia switch, start truck, and wait for engine to stumble.

. Remove filter--use a small screwdriver to remove both "hair pin" clips. Carefully, pry fuel lines from filter. Unfasten aviation clamp securing filter to mount. Use the end cap that comes with the new filter on one end of the old filter to keep gas from draining, while you remove the filter from the mount.

. Install filter--install new filter in mount, tighten clamp, attach fuel lines (push in until they seat), install new hair pin clips.

    Easy job.
