Wassup everyone I got a first question. I was unistalling all the crap I had on my computer and apparently the drivers to your comp aren't crap, so I'm running an emachines and am looking for the drivers for my system all over the web but no luck? I want my sony receiver and surrond sound again:( all effort is greatly appreciated!

Start, settings, control panel, system, hardware tab, device mgr

You probably have a yellow mark next to sound driver, right click on that and choose uninstall and say OK - close all windows and restart PC - windows will load generic drivers on restart and you should get sound back

Now with surround sound and other features you may have had before, you would have to install the drivers that came with the sound card if they are not active when you reboot

But do the first jpart to get sound back, if you have yellow marks and they are not for sound driver, post back

To get your sound back click right mouse on MY COMPUTER then click PROPERTIES click HARDWARE then click Device MANAGER the you will see MULTIMEDIA AUDIO CONTROLLER with a yellow question,click right mouse on it,click UPDATE DRIVER.install it
. And your sound is back!
