Last night my boyfriend and I got into an argument about him never talking to me. This was the real big fight that we have ever gotten into. I finally gave up and told him fine we'll do it his way. He doesn't want to talk we won't, until he feels like it. He said OK. At that time I didn't feel like talking to him at the moment because I was upset so I told him so. About an hour later I call him and he's ignoring my calls. Ok so as I'm talking to a friend I get text from my boyfriend. HE DUMPED ME. Told me he will NEVER be a phone person and can't do long distance relationships and knew this before hand because he's tried before.

I still love him and wish he would change his mind but I know he won't. So any advice on what to do now? I'm done with all the crying. I'm going to be heading back home for my sister's graduation as well as a very good friend of mine's graduation who just happens to be my ex's sister in about a week. I'm not sure how I'm going to deal with that. I know that I'm going to see him then and basically every day because we have the same friends.

I kind of expected this to happen, just not the way it did and not for that reason. He can't talk on phones? I wasn't expecting much just a little effort. I guess it was too much. If I hadn't of said anything we'd still be together right now. Well I guess I'm just asking for some advice to help me move on.

Sounds like he was being honest and both trying to do something that did not work, First don't know how old, but long distance relatinships are hard and most do not work. So move one and find someone that you can see in person, not a voice on a phone

I'm 19 and he's 20. Yes I know that he was just being honest. I'm just really hurt. He wanted to try. He was the one who said we can do this. He has faith in us. Then three weeks later he said he knew he can't do long distance relationships? I just wish he could have told me before hand. Or at least not done it through a text

LD is hard on people who actually want to do it (you). It's impossible for people who don't (him).

I'm sorry it took a fight to make him be honest about it. But in the end you got to the truth you already knew was coming. Don't beat it up.

I think what made it worse is that the person who healed my heart after a bad breakup with my boyfriend of over a year broke my heart. I was warned, I should have listened

Turns out the real reason he broke up with me was because when I would want his attention. Or talk to him about the things that were bothering me in our relationship. Point out that everything was before me and I was tired of taking a back seat I reminded him of his ex-girlfriend. All I wanted was his attention. I didn't feel important to him anymore. I wanted our relationship to work. Is that too much to ask?

Naw that's not too much to ask, but they way you ask is the important part. Guess he didn't want to hear it.

I wasn't mean about it. Id just be like, you know we don't talk much anymore. I guess after awhile I might have seen b***** because I started to get ditched for parties and all the broken parties, but if be likeyou always seem so busy, id like it if you could find time to tlak or catch up. But I know the last day I did get b*****... I was tired of it. But I called back to say sorry for being like that. He avoided me. Then came the text... I still love him... and it hurt that he compared me to her... he things she's crazy... makes me wonder what he thinks of my now

You know, he isn't a bad boyfriend. When we are together he's amazing. I just don't know what happened. I guess he really can't do long distance. I just with that it could have ended differently
