Hello,
I recently noticed that when my garage door would open it wouldn't go all the way back but I could still easily pull my car into the garage so I didn't try to solve the problem. Then just a couple of days ago the garage door will now open all the way but when it closes it stops about 3 feet short. It's a Wayne Dalton brand, model BDOR-2000/BIRW-2000.

Your first problem is you bought a Wayne-Dalton door. They are the P.O.S. of the garage door industry.
Call anyone you can find on the internet or the yellow pages that does not say they are a W-D dealer. They should set you on the right direction. (Look for someone local, without a whole bunch of phone numbers.)
