Compressor Line Icey & Not Cooling Inside
I need some guidance on what to do regarding our Carrier A/C system. The fan motor works fine, the compressor turns-on, but I noticed yesterday that the copper lines where the gauges get installed were icey. The system is not blowing cold air to bring down the temperature in the room, even when set at 65 degrees.
I need to know what steps I should take before having a tech come out. I already changed the filter on the return. I don't think the capacitor is damaged, otherwise the compressor wouldn't be turning on. Air does blow through vents, it's just not cold. If there's something I need to check, please, I'm all ears. Thanks in advance.
