To replace the low beam headlight on passenger side I read you should turn the assembly counterclockwise. In trying to do this I hit a firm stop right away. Is there a lock that is preventing the turn? Help is appreciated, for my 92 honda accord dx

On Hondas, connectors can be tricky. The best advice I can give is get a small flashlight and study it and figure out how it works first. Otherwise, you run the risk of breaking it. Afterwards, you will see Honda's engineering was pretty clever.
Please, it's not that complicated. You need to study it longer and don't give up so easily. Besides looking, be a little more persistent and carefully fiddle with it, until it come out. Otherwise, take it to Honda and tell them to fix it.
