An international airport has recently opened a new restaurant for passengers who are in transit. Food and drink are served from a series of 'islands', one each for salads, pasta, meat specialities, fish, bakery, desserts, soft drinks, alcoholic beverages and hot beverages.
After making their selection customers go to one of the two check-outs to pay. Payment may be made in cash or by credit or debit card. If there has been a delay with a particular flight, passengers may be given a refreshments voucher which can be used at the restaurant.
Once the bill has been paid customers usually go to another island to obtain some cutlery and then look for a table in either the smoking of non-smoking area.
