    Slow draining tub and toilet
Need some help here. Tub in main bath drains very slowwww. ( you know if you take a shower you are also taking abath) If I put my hand over it and make like a plunger I can get it to go faster. Also toilet in same bath will sometimes back up to top ( without overflowing) eventually will go down on own or can plunge it and will go down. Can you tell me what can be causing this. My husband has snaked the toilet but there wasn't anything in it that he could tell. When it does go down there is a gurgling noise. This has been doing this for years. But the man thing is he has no idea what it is and I am not calling aplumber. So OK any help would be appreciated. Other drains in house our OK.

Your husband didn't snake the line long enough. There is a clog somewhere in that line that's why it gurgles and drains slow. It can be one bathroom that's a mess and the rest of the house okay. It does the same danged thing at my house at times. One BR is OK and the other toilet can overflow at the drop of a hat. I know you don't want to call a plumber, but if and when the clog really gets bad and hubby can't snake the line enough you'll just have to bite the bullet and either call a plumber or figure out where the clean out trap is and clean that out. Something is very very stuck in the line. I had a house where I had a slooow toilet down in Florida. I plunged my heart out trying to get the plug out of the line. I was happily rewarded with at least a dozen miniature plastic cars and other junk the previous owner's kids flushed down the toilet. Ah kids, how wonderful they are and what wonderful plumbing problems they can cause. Might have a dandy collection of micro macines down the line.
