Well, I'm 19 years old and a few weeks ago I was on an antibiotic that does effect birth control. My boyfriend and I did have intercourse that night and now I am having many side effects but I'm not sure if I am pregnant or not. About a week ago we went out to eat and all of a sudden I had these major cramps, it was like sharp pains going through me, just like before I have my period. Now I've been getting sick everyday, it's usually the worst night time. I'm very fatigued a lot, and I get headaches a lot too. However, the cravings are insane, I started craving dairy product, then it went to fast food and sometimes sweet stuff. However I don't expect my period until this Wednesday so I'm waiting until then to be sure that I might be pregnant, if I don't get my period I plan on taking a test since I have already bought one. I'm terrified because where I'm so young but my boyfriend is there for me and he plans on sticking with me no matter what, but I'm wondering if I could be pregnant, or I could say if it's a good possibility I am! If you had unprotected sex - which you did if you were on an antibiotic that affects your method of birth control - yes, you could be pregnant. I would guess you didn't use a back-up method just in case the first method didn't work - ?

I'd pick up a home test kit and see what the result is and then wait a week or so and test again.

It is very possible that you are pregnant. However, the symptoms of pregnancy can also be symptoms of premenstruation. Since you are due next Wednesday you may just be experiencing premenstrual symptoms. I would say that you should wait to see if you get your period and use another form of protection in the meantime.

They could be signs, but usually I never get any pain at all before my period, only on that very day just before I get it I get a light pains, nothing like what I have been experiencing now. I think that it is very possible that I am pregnant, I have a test bought and I plan on using it if I don't get my period, Thanks for the advice!! :)
