Attention to detail, patience, have to be good at business math, hard worker (studyer), good with numbers, likes financial statements..

If you're not quite sure if you want to be an accountant, try taking a basic financial accounting course and see how you like it... I was in the same boat as you and took that class and aced it, came very easy to me.. see how that goes

One of the essential qualitites an accountant must have is integrity. What that means is you will do the right thing even if it costs you. You will tell the truth. Another quality is logical thinking ability and a good memory, honesty, patience and a willingness to work hard and not quit when things are difficult
