Can anyone please tell me if they know if the pain associated with ovulation comes before you ovulate, during, or after. I am soooo confused. I'm trying to get pregnant and I took an avulation predictor kit and said positive the day before the pain. Well the ovulation predictor kit gives you a range that you will ovulate anywhere from 12-48 hours after the positive. We didn't get to bd the night of the positive but we did the following 2 nights. What is the possibility that I could still get pregnant after the positive? I'm totally confused by all this timing junk. PLEASE someone help me :eek: LOL

Ovulation pain can happen at any of those times or not at all. There's a decent chance that you hit the mark so you'll have to play the waiting game now... :) If you have a good idea of when you are likely to ovulate, it can also be helpful to start trying a few days before that time... when you are leading up to ovulation. That way you will have sperm ready and waiting for when the egg is released since it is a small window of time once ovulation actually happens. Fingers crossed for you!

Generally ovulation "pain" is during the emergence of the ovum and just prior to the emergence.

However hormonal/cervical/ovarian/fallopian pain could occur around this time. Sorry I couldn't get any clearer.
