    Reading a car battery charger
My toyota just barely turned over. Have to check battery/alternator(2005)or starter.
    At the mechanic tomorrow.

Put battery charger on battery reading was 3 in 10 minutes it went to 1. but
What does that mean?? Is the battery fully charged?

If the ammeter cut back from 3 amps to 1 amp, the battery is likely fully charged. It won't hurt anything to let the battery charge for an hour. Make sure the caps are removed. Use distilled water to fill each cell to the proper level, if necessary. Unplug the charger from the wall, before removing the cables going to the battery; otherwise, sparks could ignite the hydrogen gas being given off.

Also, be sure to clean battery terminals and cables of any corrosion.
