60 year old lennox oil burner
Yesterday I encountered a lennox oil burner. The pump will deliver oil only for 2-3 seconds then stop. I changed the dirty filter. Restarted the unit same thing happened. I can't see the make of the pump because of the one piece jacket . I believe it is an early model of the Sunstrand family. I suggested a new Beckett burner to the customer. This is a warm air unit. Do you agree?

Yes sell them a high efficiency new style burner and control package.
Note you may have to adjust the nozzel and spread to accommodate the curent combustion chamber or if the old chamber looks bad do a per fab or wet pack install. Might as well do it correctly.
They will save some $$$$$ on the oil bill if set up corectly.
