How do you reply to notice of suit?
Being sued by my ex wife in Texas for termination of parental rights. If unable to get a lawyer I need to be able to respond within 12 days to the notice. Who/How do I file the response? We have the response prepared just not sure with who or how to file it.

Reply that you intend to fight to keep your rights ( assuming you want to keep them) or merely don't reply if you don't care.

YOu can fight it by showing you have been visiting the child, that you have been paying your child support, and if you have not, show plans for doing so.

Well, we've got what we're replying worked out. Just not exactly certain who it's supposed to go to. I.E. court clerk, county clerk, her, her atty or just who exactly.

Because each county can differ slightly, it is easiest to call the county clerks office and ask them. Or if you are able to retain a lawyer they will do all the grunt work for you.
