Can I be pregnant the second day of my period?
Hello everyone. OK I am 21 years old and am engaged to be married in August. I already have an 81/2 month old with my fiancé and want to have one more kid as soon as possible, but only AFTER I get married in 3 months. On the second day of my period my fiancé and I had intercourse and he finished without pulling out. Now he didn't do it to be a jackass but he sincerely believes that I can't get pregnant on my period he says its impossible but I have heard otherwise. I didn't even know that he did that until we stopped (we were standing sorry to be graphic) and I got very very dizzy and nauseous . Ever since then my period has been very light and I'm usually one of those people who have very heavy periods. I don't want to jump the gun and think that I am pregnant but I am nervous and do feel like I am but I think that's because I'm paranoid. So given my situation, is this a possible pregnancy?

While it is not the most likely time to get pregnant, it is still possible. Some women ovulate early normally, and it can also happen that someone will ovulate at a different time then what is the norm for them once in awhile. Say you happened to ovulate within a few days of having had intercourse during your period, pregnancy then becomes a possibility. If your next period was lighter or shorter in duration than your norm, and you are feeling a bit off, might want to consider trying a pregnancy test and see what results you get so you will know one way or another.

It's unlikely but not impossible for you to become pregnant during your period. This is because some people may have an irregular period due to a variety of factors including stress, lifestyle changes, eating habit changes or the use of medications to treat some disease or condition. Due to this a woman may have 3 periods in one month and the duration of ech period may be shorter than 5 or 7 days. The sperm of a man can last up to 5 days within the uterus. Do the math. Still highly unlikely. Do a pregnancy test to make sure.
