Hi, I'm installing , chrome bath tub trim, around the top of my bath tub, against tile wall. I have normally calked over top of trim, for water leakage prevention, there's a groove in back of trim, screws go through. Do you put silicone in this groove,(track), so you don't have silicone showing on trim finnish, instead of calking top of trim?

If the trim did not come with a gasket... then, yes... can install silicone to that groove and then install trim.
