Okay, so I had sex with my boyfriend 15 days after my period started.. and if I'm not mistaken.. that is one of my most fertile times.. and the condom broke, which we didn't realize till after he had "finished"... my period is now a week and three days late, I've been sleeping in the afternoon, which isn't like me, I've been getting nauseous, my breasts are sensative, and sore.. I'm emoational.. but I took a home pregnancy test this morning, and it was negative.. could I still be pregnant? PPLLLEEEAAASSSEE HHEELLPPP!!

It can take 4-6 weeks for HCG levels to show up on a home pregnancy test. If you wait another week or two and it is still negative after a total of 4 weeks late then have it confirmed by a blood test. Urine tests do not always detect HCG levels if they are low.

Unfortunately you are now playing the waiting game. You can take an HPT once a week, again using first morning urine, or make an appointment for a blood test. There are many reasons that we miss a period. Stress of possibly being pregnant is one of those reasons.

The symptoms of pregnancy are very similar to those of premenstruation.
