There was a movie I seen when I was a child (early 80's) and I have been trying to find the name of this old movie for the longest time and no one remembers it. Hope you guys can help me. "someone drowns in an abandoned quarry by a monster, later a kid or two investigates the mystery of the quarry, they see something emerging, bubbling on the surface, but never fully reveals itself. but happens repeatly at the very same spot, so the kid puts on homemade diving suit and walks towards the spot underwater, and learns that is not a monster but an old abandoned backhoe machine." anyone remember this movie and the title, I think it was a made for TV movie.

It sounds lot like a movie called "The Quest" or "Frog Dreaming" (its Australian title). It's about this boy who investigates this spooky lake who the Aboriginees say has a monster at the bottom of it. The monster turns out to just be a donkey engine left at the bottom of the lake.
