    Squatter at my apartment
Rented apartment to man for two months. This guy let friend stay their as perk for his employment with him. The employer gave me letter relinquishing tenancies end of march. Friend decided not moving out never paid me anything and using my electric every day. Can I change locks and allow him to get his stuff or do I have to go through eviction process since he was never my tenant. Live in Palm Beach County Florida.

Follow your local laws and evict them.

Changing locks could get you into more trouble than just having
    A squatter in your place.

My Mom owns apts also. She had a few of these kinds of tenants. It was hard for her to get them out, they paid rent here and there and my parents had to chase them for it.
It went on for a few years. But one of the probs was that my parents did not make them sign a lease, they thought that they knew them, they were nieghbors for years until they lost their home and was literly in the street with all their things, my parents felt bad and said you can move in to our apt. Any way good luck it was a nightmare for them to get them out and when they finally did they left the place trashed!

He has to be evicted according to Florida's laws - you cannot lock someone out. (He's living there, you know/knew it, he's considered to be your tenant.)

Once they have established residency you are on the hook to go through the legal process. Yes you will need to evict.
