    Xp system reset
I have an Dell desktop with Windows XP Media Center Edition (and my laptop). I would like to completely dump the hard drive (exept for the OS). I will download a program to do it, too. If someone could tell me what to do, it would be greatly appreaciated.

Also, how can I reset my Laptop with windows vista home premium

Why not just copy all the folders on C: drive except the windows folder onto an external drive?

The previous suggestion of "copying" all folders except the C:\Windows directory will allow you to keep everything except the OS files. How could you delete the files unless you chose to do so?

You can also upgrade to Vista Home with the upgrade version once you backup all files except the OS (C:\Windows)
