    No Signal ( VGA) new memory
    I added some new memory to my computer. A gateway 3200xl
    It was running with 512mb of pc2700 dimm.
    I added the max of 2048mb. Closed the case and got a (No Signal) on the screen.
    There is the built in VG

    I was saying before the keyboard on this system stopped. GeeZZ!
    There is a built in VGA card on the computer ( Gateway 3200xl )
    I am not sure if adding the new memory did anything to knock it out. But anything is posible I guess. Have tried putting back the original 512mb of ram. Still no screen.
    There is also a red led on the motherboard that comes on an flashes. Not sure what that is telling me.
    Hope to get some help here before taking it into the shop and paying too much for maybe a simple fix.

    First remove the new memory, and check if the system functions properly as before.

    To solve the problem, it is essential to check the memory system first, because there are 2 possibilities :

    - the new memory causes a problem in reading/writing
    - the new memory has damaged the memory circuitry

    Are you sure that the memory circuitry is capable of addressing 2048 MB ?

    Just saw this add-on after I already replied.
    Seems that you blew the memory circuitry !
    Better take it to a computer specialist !
