Name of old Black&White fantasy film
I remember this from my childhood (we're talking about 33 years ago)... :p

Movie is fantasy (knights and maidens and the sort). Live action with creatures done in the Ray Harryhausen style. Black and White. I only remember a few scenes.

The Princess (?) has been kidnapped, and the hero must fight through many perils to rescue her.

He visits someone (a woman? A wizard?) who show's him a painting of knights on horses which then come to life to help him. (that's one scene)

There's a later scene in a cottage in the forest and the hero and knights are inside, and a young beautiful maiden is skipping through the woods outside singing "Frere Jacque" and tricks one of the knights to come out to her... turns out she's a witch or a demon of something and that's one knight down.

Another scene is the hero must win past a giant who guards the way to the castle where the princess is prisoner. The hero has a magical horse that can run like the wind and runs around the giants legs many times, making the giant dizzy, and I think uses a rope on the giants legs while running around him. Thus the dizzy giant falls and the hero can kill it.

Any ideas? I watched that movie with my Grandmother and it's one of my fondest memories of her. Appreciate any help. Thx :)

BTW... You were spot on, and I just watched it using NetFlix. I must have watched it on a B/W TV at Grandmomma's house, because it was definitely a color movie! LOL

    Thanks for the help!
