If you already have an active insurance company, as in homeowners, etc. they can probably give you a quote on what your intend to do. As for bonding, well that depends on the individuals you hire. You have to make sure they are bondable, as in no previous offences, etc. They will have to produce that for you. You don't say what state you are from and that makes a diference as to state tax, cleaning tax, etc.
Cleaning companies, either individual residential or commercial are very popular and very competitive. If you have a good reputation in either one or the other, then you have a good chance of making a go of it. Also, if you have money behind you then you h ave it made for hiring the right people and having the proper equipment and being able to quote intelligently on commercial and residential jobs,
Are you asking this question about you as an individual or about you employing others in your company? It would help to know that in order for others to answer your question the best. If you are asking concerning the hiring of others and about bonding, then a previous offense does not necessarily make a person un-bondable. It all depends on what the offense was and what type of job they are going to do.
If asking the question as an individual working alone, are you sure that you would need to be bonded? If you don't need to be, you could save some money by not being bonded. It might look good to be bonded, but it might not be necessary.
As far as insurance is concerned, I went to an insurance agency that had many carriers so that we could choose one that had the most coverage for the most reasonable price for the private businesses that I run.
