    Hair weaves
Does anyone know how long it may take for hair to fully recover after being badly weaved?
I have weaved my hair for years and although it is originally thick, tough and curly its now really thin and soft and changed.
After the last weave came out the back of my head seemed to lose a lot of hair and the temple sides became so thin - nearly see through - even though those bits had been left out to cover the stitches since 2008?
My hair has been damaged before and normally recovers, do you think the same will happen again?
I have heard about Traction Alopecia but I hope I have stopped weaves in time.
My Hair has not receded its just lost a lot and its really thin and soft.
I am now 32, been weavin on/off for around 4-6 years.

A Physician could tell you if your hair was pulled out by the weaves or broken off or if it's a medical condition.

I work with someone who has worn thin braids for years and started losing hair - Doctor said it's from the stress on the roots. They were (literally) ripped out of her head, a little at a time. It has not reversed itself visibly (to me) but she is using some sort of medication and says she can see new growth.

Hello, can I just ask you. Does your friend have bald spots or a severely receded hairline where she has seen new growth, or it is just extremely thin?

    Thanks

How do you close a quick weave?
