13 televison and DVD player fell about 2 ft. to the floor. The DVD player still plays and I have picture on the TV but no sound. Any ideas before I purchase a new one? :eek:

I would verify it's not muted and then open that puppy up and see if any connections came loose due to the fall, see if anything looked damaged, and remove the speaker and test it. However, it's possible to electrocute yourself if done wrong.

Best call a TV repairman. Check your remote and cllick the mute button a couple of times

With TV unplugged, Look for broken or cracked circuit board. If it has a headphone jack, check for damage. Maybe you could use a different audio output and run through an amp?
