I wouldn't be too concerned about the energy usage for wrinkle guard. I believe it just tumbles the clothes without heat for 15 sec every 5 minutes. The real energy usage is when the heating element is on.
If you are really concerned about it, you will just have to be there when the cycle ends and pull your clothes out as soon as it finishes--I don't believe there is a way to disable wrinkle guard.
Hope this helps,

Mine has a button (digital) to push to turn it off. You'll need to check out your model. You may need to choose another cycle for drying. I did that for a while, until I realized I could turn it off.
It does heat the clothes to whatever temp your current cycle was using, running for 5-10 minutes with 10 minute breaks. For high heat load settings, like cottons and whites, it gets pretty dang hot. It does this until you remove the load or open the door. My roommate was using the wrinkle guard for every load and leaving the house for work. It would still be running 8-10 hours later. Definitely an energy hog. It took me months to figure out why our electric bill jumped $30 a month.
I took a look at my manual. Wrinkle guard should only rund for 2.5 hours of "heat-free" tumbling. Mine is obviously not working properly, but at least I turn it off.
Here is a place to find your owner's manual... Owner's Manual | Find Product User Manuals - ManageMyLife.com
It's a safe link that Sears has on their website.
There's a button on top with Wrinkle Guard ABOVE the button (not on it). Press and hold that button for five seconds.
