    Working from home in Canada
Does anyone know of work places in Canada that would let you work from home? I have a little baby and I really would like to bring more income into the home, by staying home. I know there is a lot of people that would say it is impossible but if anyone has any ideas please let me know.
    Thank you

What sort of skills and training do you presently have? I.e. computer, typing using various programs, crafts, seamstress, taking dictation, knowledge of medical terminology, formatting spreadsheets, etc. I'm just tossing out some possibilities here. There could be many more... It would help to know about your skills and training that you already have in order for us to answer your question to the best of your satisfaction. Thank you!

I have a degree in Tourism with a major in Hotel and Resort Management, I can work on almost ever computer system out there. I have formatted spreadsheets before many times due to working in hotels, and school. I have never really been crafty person but I am sure I can learn, I have never worked with medical terminology but again it can be learned. Other then that I am just really good with children so I hope that helps a little.

I am glad to see that you have ambition and drive, and are also open to new possibilities as to what you could do! That is what it takes to embark on something where you might work from or at home.

Since you mention that you are really good with children, do you think that there would be any possibilities for you opening a daycare or just baby sitting? Those sorts of things can bring in decent money. You can also advertise in many ways on the Internet without spending a dime for the advertising.

If you would want to possibly get into a career as a medical transcriptionist working from home, perhaps there is a course that you could take at a local junior college that wouldn't take up a lot of your time?

A number of years ago, I did some work at home formatting spreadsheets for the clients of a tax attorney.

Do you have a resume that is currently up to date?

Well you must keep an open mind I always say, other wise you'll never get anywhere in life. As well my resume is update I make sure of that every month just in case a opportunity presents its self. I would love to open a daycare but with a new infant it might be a bit difficult to start of with, but always an option.

I am very interested in working online with advertisement or with any a company that needs research done. Do you have ideas how to go about working online? Have you ever heard of anyone doing research online?

    Davejag,

There are a great many online businesses you could start with what you have
Stated above as your areas of interests.

You just need to do a brainstorming one on one sessions to flesh out the best
    Plan for you.

It can't be done effectively on a text chat board.

But yes you can work from home and make very good living doing it.
