    Unfit parenting, grandparents wanting custody
Ok a brief run down. I am in the middle of a divorce with my daughters father. Have been for 18 months now. Her father is now incarsirated and is facing 30 years in prison. Yea, I know innocent until proven guilty. We have a 20 month old daughter together that I have never received a penny for and when he was around he would take her at most 4 times a month. My mom has been the only reason I have been able to work and everything. The other issue is they are still in love with my daughters father and he can do no wrong. Very unexpectly I found out that I am pregnant by a life long friend. I am also an insulin dependent diabetic. I have had a few low blood sugar episodes which is common for me being pregnant. Do to my daughters father being in prison, my parents have been needed a lot more. Due to my low blood sugars that I have had my parents say that I am an unfit mother and that they are going to take my daughter from me. Like I told them, don't act like I haven't done anything about it, I have been to the doctors weekly getting it all under control and finally have. More than anything. My daughter is also my parents first granddaughter. They have 9 grandsons. My mom has also become obsessed with her. She tells me if I move I can't live by myself so she will take her from me, if I live with someone else she is going to take her from me and all. No matter what I do, she is taking my daughter from me because I have had low blood sugar problems in the past. I am an unfit mother and all. I have also heard that they can not hold me being a diabetic against me. Low blood sugars are a part of the disease. I don't know what to do or what she can do. I don't want to lose my daughter and am freaked out that I am going to.

No, a medical condtion unless it is a threat to your safety or the child is not a reason, To be unfit ( each state has different rules) but the child has to be in a level of danager. There are millions of diabetics and this is not a reason to lose a child. Your need to be firm and explain that you can not have anything to do with them if they wish to threaten and lie to you.
