My thermostat that controls the heat and air conditioning (Maple/Chase) says Low Battery. I changed the batteries and it still won't work. The air conditioner won't come on. What do I do? I've changed the batteries before and things were fine.

Hi Janice,
Is there a switch labeled "Fan"? If you flip it, does the fan come on? If not, this indicates to me that you are not getting power to the thermostat.
- Make sure all the wires are still firmly attached to the screws.
- Check for a tripped circuit breaker.
- All the wires from the thermostat eventually go into the furnace. Make sure these wires are firmly attached as well.
Hopefully, it will be one of these simple items.
