Child custody to a sprem donor "pretty much"
The father to my two year old is trying to get custody of six months. He has never seen my child and has never even talked to my child ever. Well any ways he is now trying to get custody of him since the state is making him pay child support. My question is will he get the custody that he wants or can I get soul custody of my child?

Why would it be so bad that he wants to be in his child's life? That is a serious question to consider! And of course he can take you to court to have his rights conformed to. This is his child too! That being said, he should have been there in the beginning, yes, he is wanting to step up here and be a nobel father... I hope!

Was he the sperm donor to your child?

I forgot to add that if you haven't already, I would go down to the court house and file for full custody right now before he does!;)

It is unlikely that he will get that much custody. However, a Judge is likely to give him visitation if he wants it. Most likely it will be a few hours on saturdays at your house then gradually working up to weekends with him that way the child will know him rather than just all of a sudden being with him on extended visits.

Not necessary - she already has full custody. It is up to him to try to change things.

So if he decides to go and file for full custody, she is safe? Sorry, I saw you didn't want any PM's and I am confused on this. Thanks

No one is ever "safe" until the Judge rules but what I meant was that she has the child now, has full, uncontested custody. I agree that he will get visitation but I don't see custody here.

Maybe the father is just making threats. Why drag him in to a custody hearing where he will respond and she has to argue about custody before it's necessary?

(No problem with private questions - I just put that on to avoid the people who want to argue off the board or provide more info off the board.)
