Boys are definitely challenging at times. I have one of each. My son was a holy terror until he turned 4, then all of a sudden he became reasonable, you could talk to him and most times he would listen. My daughter was the perfect little angel until she hit 4, now she has a "princess" attitude, it's all about her, hee, hee, nope, not going to happen! :)
