Well laugh at him and tell him to have the check to you by the first.

Have you been though court and have custody awarded and a child support order in place.

First unless you have a new partner that wants to adopt, the judge will almost never allow him to sign over his rights, but if they did, he will still owe his child support.

So just start figuring what you need to do , to get your child's money for them

He is a child he has tried to drop out of sight no contact I filed through the local county child support to get the ball rolling. But I have no address for him.

Then you are better off without him, after a while of no contract go back and get most if not all of his vistitation taken away Hopefuly your child support agency will really get the ball rolling

Sounds like he's doing the noble thing in a very backwards way. He's admitting he doesn't feel worthy of the child's affection and that maybe you would be better off findng another father figure for the child. This takes guts and manhood courage. Don't judge him for it. A lot of men willl step up and be a part of ready made families. You'd be surprised how many men love kids and can't have them looking just for a girl like you. See this as a good move becaseu the legal bull carrys on for years once medicaid keeps putting him in jail for stupid like failure to BE ABLE to pay. He's just doing what is best for the child. This is his way of giving the child the best life and a way for you to move on.

If he was doing the best thing for the child, he'd be forking over every extra cent of money he had every month, not trying to get out of child support payments.

If he was doing the best thing for the child, he'd get his crap together and make sure he was THERE for the child.

If there were someone ASKING to adopt the child and raise her as his own, that would be different. But there's not, and what he's doing is trying to get out of growing up and being a man instead of a boy.
