    Hi I was wanting to know about 5yrs ago my dad paid my child support I was 16 and my mom gave the check to my uncle and he put the check into a cd for 5yrs and we don't know what bank he put it in and recently he had stroke and his memory is not good at all he doesn't remember much so I just turn 21 when the cd is done I was wondering how can I find it and what will happen if I can't find it soon I know I sign the papers when he went to the bank but I don't remember what bank or have any papers what can I do

    You had better do a search of his possessions. That would be a good start. I don't know of anything else to suggest unless you know where he kept his private papers, bank account books, etc.

    Was the CD in your Uncle's name alone, in his name as custodian for you - ? That will become an issue after you go through his papers. He should also get annual reports of interested on the CD (at tax time) so go through his tax papers.
