Getting custody of my fiance's daughter

OK my fiancé has a 3 year old daughter with another girl, and just 3 days ago she started a fight with another girl with hers and my fiancés daughter in her arms. Well the next thing we know the girl that my fiancés ex started a fight with knocked her daughter right out of her arms and she fell to the ground and got bruises on her forehead and on the palms of her hand. And the mother drinks all the time and always has all these different people watching her so she can party. She also live between 3 other places so she's not stable. And the poor little girl is always getting hurt!! I mean she's 3 years old and has had her arm broken twice, has had stitches in her head, and a burn on her finger. Would there be any way we could use this to prove her unfit? Because every time she comes over she's always hurt. Any suggestions on takeing this to court? Please?? :(

Document and document everything. You will have to go to court and try

Jamie, you never stated if your fiancé and his ex have gone to court for custody? Has she ever just gone down and filed or has he? I suppose if she hasn't taken those steps, then he could.. Good Luck, and remember think, think, think, is it best for the child? ;)

If her arm has been broken twice, I'm surprised that her doctor's have not reported this. Have you contacted children's services to do an investigation?

Contacting child protective services would be my suggestion. You can find them in the yellow pages and look under the government section and it is under Health and Family Services. When you call the number under that you can be connected from there. I will say you may have a little of a harder time with this because of ex's going after each other for every knit picking little thing. That makes it a little harder to pull off but it is very possible. Child Protective services can pull medical records and all that you may not have access to and get together what they need. They can help you nearly all the way and tell you all what you need to do and everything. Wish you the best
